Sivakavi is a 1943 Indian Tamil-language film released by Pakshiraja Films on April 10, 1943.
The film was initially directed by P.K. Raja Sandow, but he was dismissed due to disputes with producer S. M. Sriramulu Naidu, who then took over as director and completed the filming.
The screenplay was written by Elangovan (credited differently in some sources). The film stars M.K. Thyagaraja Bhagavathar in his iconic role as the poet Sivakavi.
Notable supporting actors include Serukalathur Sama, Thirupurambal, and T.R. Rajakumari (in one of her early roles), alongside actress S. Jayalakshmi. N.S. Krishnan is also part of the cast.
The movie tells the story of Poyyamozhi Pulavar, focusing on his life and interactions with a devadasi character played by T.R. Rajakumari.
