Siva is a 1989 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Ameer Jaan (K. Balachandran) and produced by K. Balachandar.
The movie stars Rajinikanth in the titular lead role, alongside Raghuvaran, Janagaraj, Radharavi, and Shobana.
Known for its intense action sequences and impactful score, "Siva" features music composed by Ilayaraaja.
The film is a remake of the 1977 Hindi film Khoon Pasina. The plot follows Siva and John as kids, who become close friends with their fathers, but are separated when their families are killed except for themselves and their mothers. Twenty years later, Siva falls in love with Parvathy and marries her, while John becomes a hired goon who ultimately joins forces with Siva to fight against the same villain who killed their family.
The film was released on 5 May 1989 and became a box office failure.
