Sillunu Oru Kaadhal is a 2006 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Krishna.
The film stars Suriya and Jyothika, with supporting roles played by Bhoomika, Shriya Sharma, Sukanya, Vadivelu, and Santhanam.
The score and soundtrack were composed by A. R. Rahman, with lyrics by the Indian poet Vaali.
Cinematography for the film was handled by R. D. Rajasekhar, and editing was handled by Anthony.
The film follows Kundavi, a woman who decides to have a love marriage with her friends in a quaint village near Tenkasi, but is eventually arranged into a normal marriage against her wishes.
She meets Gautham, who also doesn't want his arranged marriage, and the invisible string of fate ties them together.
The film was released on 8 September 2006, three days before the wedding of Suriya and Jyothika, and was later remade into Marathi as Tu Hi Re in 2015.
