Lakshmi
Sila Nerangalil Sila Manithargal is a 1975 Tamil film centered around Ganga, a college girl who is raped by a stranger while accepting his lift on a rainy night.
Following the trauma and societal rejection from her family, she finds refuge with an uncle. He allows her to continue her education and later helps her secure an office job in the city, enabling her to begin life independently.
The narrative takes an unexpected turn when Ganga encounters Raghu, the same businessman who raped her years earlier. This leads to an unusual relationship between them.
The film features performances by Lakshmi as Ganga and Sundarabai portraying her mother, among others.
