Synopsis
Sethupathi IPS is a 1994 Indian Tamil-language political action film directed by P. Vasu and produced by AVM Productions.
The film stars Vijayakanth and Meena, and tells the story of a police officer who fights against terrorism.
Set in India, the movie follows Sethupathi IPS as he catches terrorist Sivasubramaniam in a hospital and coaxes him to reveal information about their gang's plans for a terrorist strike on the Prime Minister of India during his meeting with Chief Ministers of various states.
The film also explores Sethupathi's family background, revealing that his entire family has served the country at some time, including his mother as an IAS Officer and his father-in-law as an Inspector General of Police.
