Synopsis
Selvam is a 2005 Indian Tamil-language romantic psychological thriller film directed and produced by Agathiyan.
The movie begins with Selvam (Nandha Durairaj) coming to Chennai after a quarrel, suffering a head injury that causes him to forget his past. He seeks the help of Dr. Lakshmi (Ranjitha), who assigns Dr. Thendral (Uma) to treat him back to his normal self.
Thendral falls in love with Selvam, christening him Kannan due to his memory loss. A couple of incidents help Kannan discover his past, leading him to return to his village and reunite with his parents and fiancée Jyothy (Vani).
Upon returning home, Kannan learns the truth from his sister that he is an adopted son, abandoned by his biological parents. He ultimately returns to Thendral and rekindles their romance.
The film stars Nandha, Uma, and Vani, and was released on 5 August 2005.
