Synopsis
Sati Savithri is a 1957 Hindu mythological film produced by S. Varalakshmi under the Varalakshmi Pictures banner.
The movie stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao as Satyavan and S. Varalakshmi as Savitri, with music composed by S. V. Venkatraman.
Directed by K. B. Nagabhushanam, the film begins in the Madra Kingdom where a childless royal couple performs a penance to Gayatri, instead receiving a daughter named Savitri who is raised divinely.
Savitri accompanies her father on hunting trips and meets Satyavanta, an exiled prince from another kingdom whose fortune was undermined by betrayal.
