Sandhippu (1983) is a Tamil-language masala film directed by C. V. Rajendran and written by Peter Selvakumar. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Sridevi, Sujatha, M. N. Nambiar, and Prabhu.
The movie tells the story of Ramanathan, a trustee of a town temple, who is falsely accused of murdering his close friend, the dharmagatha Muthayya. Despite discovering the truth, Ramanathan signs a confession due to threats against his family before being violently assaulted himself.
Rajavelu and Vedagiri orchestrate the crime while using their connection to Ramanathan, targeting his family in the process. The film is a remake of the 1981 Hindi film Naseeb and ran for over 175 days in theatres, becoming a silver jubilee hit.
