Sanyasi-Samsari is a 1942 Indian Tamil-language film directed by M. Krishnaratnam.
The film consists of two separate stories packaged together and released as a double feature.
The first segment, Sanyasi, revolves around a crook who becomes interested in Seetha, the wife of Rajaram, and abducts her, but she is saved by another woman. The plot involves Rajaram seeking financial assistance from this criminal character to fund his son's education.
The second segment, Samsari, features a native doctor who strongly believes in traditional Indian medicine and disapproves of Western methods. He arranges for one of his daughters (Gunavathi or Gowri) to marry a groom skilled in the old system, specifically mentioning finding someone knowledgeable about Muppu as part of this condition.
The film was released together with another separate story, combining two distinct narratives into a single package.
