Samsaram is a 1951 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Chandru and produced by S.S. Vasan.
The film stars M.K. Radha, Pushpavalli, Kumari Vanaja, Sriram, and M.S. Sundari Bai among others.
It is a remake of the 1950 Telugu film of the same name and was simultaneously filmed in Hindi as Sansar.
The plot revolves around a struggling clerk who lives with his wife and two children, but their peaceful existence is jeopardized when his scheming mother and sister arrive.
The clerk eventually disappears, leaving his family behind; however, his brother steps in to protect them during this difficult time.
Adding to the complex situation are suggestions of an immoral relationship between the brother and the wife from mischief makers.
In a desperate move, the clerk's wife sends her two children out to beg on the streets years later when they reunite with one who is now working in a mill.
Samsaram was released on 19 October 1951.
