Dayalan (Samuthirakani) is a newly appointed teacher of a government school in Vanthaarangudi village near Thiruvannamalai city, unhappy with the education system and trying to change the school's environment.

He faces opposition from Singaperumal (Thambi Ramaiah), Assistant Head Master, as his decision for change does not go well with him.
