Synopsis
Rishimoolam is a 1980 Indian Tamil-language film directed by S. P. Muthuraman and written by Mahendran.
The film stars Sivaji Ganesan and K. R. Vijaya, and is based on Mahendran's play of the same name.
The story follows SP Santhosh IPS, who has a past life that he hides from his wife Gokila and their son Ashok.
Gokila discovers her husband's secret and leaves him, but later receives an unexpected court judgment in favor of Santhosh, leading to his resignation as SP and a new job as a tea estate supervisor.
