Ranuva Veeran is a 1981 Tamil action film directed by S. P. Muthuraman.
The movie stars Rajinikanth in the titular role of Raghu / Raghunath, alongside Sridevi and Chiranjeevi.
After completing his assignment with the Indian Army, Raghu returns home to Goregaon near Sivapuram, along with an abandoned male child. He must then face opposition from his conservative Hindu family, particularly his father Baghirath, due to their ongoing shock and disapproval stemming from his sister Ganga's previous elopement.
Simultaneously, the village is terrorized by an escaped convict with one eye (played by Chiranjeevi), whose gang commits frequent thefts and murders. Raghu must navigate his family issues while also confronting this dangerous criminal element led by the "One-Eyed Man".
The film was later dubbed into Hindi as Zulm Ki Zanjeer, but despite featuring popular actors from different regional cinemas, it became a box office failure.
