Ranga is a 1982 Tamil film directed by K. S. Gopalakrishnan and starring Rajinikanth, K. R. Vijaya, Karate Mani, Radhika, Ravindran, Master Suresh, and Ganga.
The movie tells the story of Ranga (Rajinikanth), a man who lost his sister Laksmi in childhood, and Raju (Karate Mani), a thief he meets in the city. Ranga advises Raju to give up crime and become a good man, but ultimately becomes a hit-man himself after feeling it's the better way to survive.
Raju changes his ways and becomes a guardian for Laksmi's son Suresh (Master Suresh), while Ranga takes on a contract from Ganga (Radhika) to collect money from local thugs.
