The movie follows Vasanthi, the daughter of a man who assists refugees, as she falls for Jeevan, a Tamil refugee staying in the camp in Rameswaram. Despite Jeevan's initial reluctance, he eventually falls in love with her. However, their relationship creates problems when Vasanthi's cousin Saravanan, who wants to marry her, discovers their romance.
The film released worldwide on 30 November 2007 and received mixed reviews, failing to perform well commercially.
