Raja Rajan is a 1957 Indian Tamil-language historical drama film starring M. G. Ramachandran, Padmini, and Lalitha.
The plot revolves around Prince Rajarajan who is captured by General Nagavelan, who plots his death to seize the throne of Chozha. To facilitate this, Nagavelan falsely convinces the people that Rajarajan died a womaniser and drunkard during an alleged hunting accident.
His own sister, Priyamohini, however, opposes her brother's murderous intentions. Assisting the wounded Rajarajan in his escape is his loyal teacher, Uthselan Kavirayar. Meanwhile, Nagavelan's aide, Udhayachandhran, harbours romantic feelings for Priyamohini but is conflicted due to his loyalty to Nagavelan and her own affections towards the prince.
Released on April 26, 1957, the film was not a commercial success at the box office, running in theatres for just over 50 days.
