Raja Rani is a 1956 Indian Tamil-language film directed by A. Bhimsingh and written by M. Karunanidhi.
The movie stars Sivaji Ganesan as the owner of an electrical goods company who loves theatre, and Padmini in the lead role as Rani, the only daughter of a poor man.
Rani works as a ticket vendor at a drama company owned by Babu. During a play, gangsters steal her collection, drug her, and flee with the money. When Babu discovers her drugged state later, she has already escaped him and fallen unconscious in Raja's car.
The film was produced by National Productions and released on 25 February 1956.
