Raja Chinna Roja is a 1989 Indian Tamil-language children's film directed by S. P. Muthuraman and produced by AVM Productions.
The story follows Raja, an aspiring actor who arrives in the city to pursue his dreams. He meets his childhood friend Raghuvaran and finds himself taking care of their nieces and nephews.
Notably, it was the first Indian film to feature live-action combined with animation. The cinematography was by T. S. Vinayagam, while editing credits include R. Vittal and Lancy. Chandrabose provided the soundtrack, including the popular song "Superstar Yaarunu".
The animated sequence received positive feedback during its release on 20 July 1989. The film was a commercial success with a long theatrical run of 175 days and won Arunachalam the Cinema Express Award for Best Story Writer.
