Synopsis
Rahasiyam (1985) is a Tamil-language comedy thriller film written and directed by Visu.
The film stars Visu, S. Ve. Shekher, Delhi Ganesh, Arun Pandian, Ilavarasi, and Manorama.
Chidambaram, a kind-hearted simpleton from a wealthy Karaikudi family, harbors affection for his cousin Uma since childhood. However, Uma has fallen in love with Arun, her college friend. When Chidambaram's parents propose marriage to Uma's mother, Ponnazhagi, she ridicules them for their naivety.
Determined to prove himself, Chidambaram seeks employment under Amba and embarks on a journey alongside Visu (as the local police) and Arun Pandian to uncover the truth behind Uma's affections and clear his name after he is framed for murder.
The film was released on 14 December 1985. The subject matter of the film is not related directly to Chidambara Rahasiyam, a Hindu religious belief.
