Raasaiyya

Raasaiyya is a 1995 Indian Tamil-language romance film directed by R. Kannan and written by R. Selvaraj.

The film stars Prabhu Deva and Roja, and follows the life struggle and love life of Raasaiyya, a servant who lives with his grandfather in a small town in rural Southern India.

When young and beautiful Anitha comes to stay for a few days with Rathnavel, Raasaiyya and she fall in love. However, their love is complicated by the fact that Anitha's marriage has been arranged with an NRI groom settled in the United States.

The film explores Raasaiyya's struggles as he tries to assert himself and win Anitha's heart. Produced by T. Siva, Raasaiyya was released on August 24, 1995, but failed at the box office.
