Prithivirajan is a 1942 Indian Tamil-language historical film directed by B. Sampathkumar.
The movie stars P. U. Chinnappa as the titular king and A. Sakunthala in the lead role, with the story based on the popular folk legend Prithviraj, the king of Kanauj, of the Chauhan dynasty.
The plot revolves around Prithivirajan, who falls in love with Samyuktha, a princess and daughter of King Jayachandran. Despite initially joining forces to defeat Mohammed Ghori, they become adversaries. A statue of Prithivirajan is placed among the princes for Samyuktha to choose her life partner from, but when she adorns it with a garland, it miraculously transforms into the real Prithivirajan, who then takes her hand.
The film features Subramania Bharati's song "Bharata S" in its production.
