Synopsis
Pooparika Varugirom is a 1999 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by A. Venkatesh.
The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Ajay, and Malavika, with Raghuvaran and M. N. Nambiar in supporting roles.
The movie tells the story of cross-cousins Aravind and Priya who fall in love, despite their grandfathers Narayanan and Annan's efforts to arrange a marriage between them.
Annar and Narayanan engage in a game where they pretend to be on opposite sides of the marriage issue, while secretly working towards a union.
The film was released in September 1999 and received negative reviews, performing poorly at the box office. It was later remade in Telugu as Pelli Sambandham.
