Ponmanam is a 1998 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by debutant S. P. Rajkumar and produced by V. Natarajan.
The film stars Prabhu, Suvalakshmi, and Priya Raman, and was released on January 14, 1998.
The story revolves around Anandhan (Prabhu), a kind-hearted singer who lives in a house leased by Naidu (Manivannan). Kumar (Karan) moves into a new house near Anandhan's and falls for Maheshwari (Suvalakshmi), Anandhan's wife. Poornima (Priya Raman), a middle-class family woman, shares her tragic past with Anandhan, including the loss of her mother, sister, and sight.
As Anandhan becomes friends with Poornima, he also falls in love with her, while Kumar proposes to Maheshwari after discovering Anandhan's relationship with Poornima.
