Poi

Poi is a 2006 Indian Tamil-language romance film directed by K. Balachander in his 101st and final film as a director.

The film stars Uday Kiran and Vimala Raman in their acting debuts, alongside Avinash, Geetu Mohandas, Prakash Raj, Adithya Menon, and others in supporting roles.

Produced by Prakash Raj, the movie features music composed by Vidyasagar and cinematography by Biju Viswanath.

The story revolves around Valluvanar (Avinash), an honest politician whose son Kamban (Uday Kiran) is arrested and bailed out by his opposition party, leading to a media frenzy that causes tension between the father and son.

The film was released on 22 December 2006.
