
Pithamagan is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language action crime drama film written and directed by Bala.
The film stars Vikram, Suriya, Laila, and Sangeetha, with Karunaas, Manobala, and Mahadevan in supporting roles.
Chittan, the protagonist, is a boy raised in a graveyard after his mother's death. He forms a bond with a conman named Shakti, played by Suriya.
The film follows Chittan's journey as he ventures into a town and gets into trouble due to his lack of understanding about money. He eventually finds friendship and tries to step out of his life of illicit activities.
Pithamagan was released on 24 October 2003 and became a success, with Vikram winning numerous accolades for his performance, including the National Film Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
