Pennarasi is a 1955 Indian Tamil-language film produced at Central Studios, Coimbatore.
The film stars A. P. Nagarajan as the commander and P. Kannamba as his lover.
The plot revolves around a queen whose kingdom is protected by her loyal commander. Her minister proves untrustworthy when a neighbouring chieftain conspires with him to seize the throne, aided by the chieftain's mistress who arrives disguised as a court dancer attempting to seduce the minister.
As various incidents unfold involving these characters, the villains' plot is eventually uncovered. The film concludes with the commander marrying his sweetheart.
The film was produced by M. A. Venu and released on 14 April 1955.
