Penmani Aval Kanmani is a 1988 Indian Tamil-language comedy-drama film directed by Visu and produced by Kavithalayaa Productions.
The story revolves around Radio Mama, an elderly man portrayed by Visu himself, who lives with his son Parandhaman (Pratap Pothen) and daughter-in-law Kalpana (Seetha).
Radio Mama becomes involved in resolving various family issues encountered in the households of different people they move into. In each new neighbourhood, he stages events or sets numerous scenes involving the families around them.
The film explores themes like dowry demands, mistreatment of in-laws by daughters-in-law, alcoholism prevalent in slums, and critiques the apathy shown by their own family towards societal issues.
Radio Mama's interventions consistently result in happy endings for these families before he and his own son relocate again to find fresh problems to solve.
The film stars Pratap Pothen, Seetha, Visu, and Kishmu. It was released on 11 March 1988 and was remade in Telugu as Aadade Aadharam.
