Pavithra

Pavithra is a 1994 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by K. Subash and produced under Dhanooja Films.

The film stars Radhika, Nassar, Ajith Kumar, and Keerthana, and tells the story of Ashok R., an 18-year-old cancer patient, who is showered with maternal affection by a nurse named Pavithra due to their age and date of birth being similar.

However, when Pavithra's husband mistakes this affection for something else, trouble begins. The film was released on November 2, 1994, and won two National Film Awards: Best Male Playback Singer (P. Unnikrishnan) and Best Lyrics (Vairamuthu).
