Synopsis
Pavalakkodi is a 1934 Tamil-language film that tells the mythical love story of Arjuna and Pavalakodi, the princess of Coral Island.
The film marked the debut screen appearances of M.K. Thyagaraja Bhagavathar as Arjuna and director K. Subramanyam. The lead role of Pavalakodi was played by S.D. Subbulakshmi.
The movie was produced from a successful stage play performed by Thyagaraja Bhagavathar, Mani Bhagavathar, and S.D. Subbulakshmi, with music composed by Papanasam Sivan.
