Pattinathar is a 1962 Indian Tamil-language devotional film directed by K. Somu.
The screenplay was written by Thanjai N. Ramaiah Dass and Akilan, with T. M. Soundararajan portraying the titular saint Pattinatthar and M. R. Radha playing the antagonist role as a villain.
The film's plot revolves around a pious couple who dream of Lord Shiva instructing them to find an abandoned baby boy at Poompugaar (Kaveripoom pattinam) and hand him over to Pattinatthar. Following their dream, they encounter the saint and his wife Sivakalai (Gemini K. Chandra), who adopt the child named Marudhavaanan. The divine child grows up following in his father's footsteps.
The movie stars T. M. Soundararajan as Pattinatthar and M. R. Radha as the antagonist, with Gemini K. Chandra playing Sivakalai, the wife of Pattinatthar.
