Pattinathar is a 1936 Indian Tamil film written and directed by T. C. Vadivelu Nayakar and produced by M. T. Rajan.
The film stars M. M. Dandapani Desikar in his acting debut as the titular saint, Pattinathar, who performs miracles while residing in Kaveripoompattinam.
Desikar is joined by a supporting cast including V. N. Sundaram, D. R. Muthulakshmi, T. K. Rukmini, and M. S. Radhabai, with notable appearances by P. G. Venkatesan.
The film features music composed by Gopal Sharma and was a major success upon its release, running for 25 weeks and establishing Desikar as an excellent singer-actor.
