Synopsis
Pattakathi Bairavan is a 1979 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by V. B. Rajendra Prasad.
The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Jai Ganesh, Sridevi, and Jayasudha in key roles.
It is a remake of the 1978 Telugu film Katakataala Rudrayya.
The movie follows the story of Arun and Malathi, who are lovers about to be married when Arun dies in a bike accident. Malathi gives birth to a male child fathered by Arun before his death, but her father deceives her that the child was stillborn and dumps the baby in a garbage bin.
The child is discovered by a car driver named Seenu and raised by him and his wife, who name the child Thangaraja. As Thangaraja grows up, he develops an angry temperament and seeks revenge when berated by others.
The film was released on 19 October 1979.
