Pasam

Bandha Pasam (1962) is a Tamil-language drama film written and directed by A. Bhimsingh, based on a story by Valampuri Somanathan.

The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Gemini Ganesan, Savitri, and Devika in key roles.

Parthiban and Saravanan are brothers who belong to a close-knit family headed by their father Vedhachalam (a successful businessman) and mother Meenakshi. The plot revolves around their family facing upheaval when Vedhachalam loses his fortune due to a bank failure, leaving him paraplegic.

Complicating matters further are romantic entanglements involving Parthiban's mistaken identity encounter with Manonmani, which leads him into her press and involves her boss's daughter Poonkodi who misunderstands Saravanan. The story details how these interconnected relationships unfold amidst the family crisis.
