Parvayin Marupakkam is a 1982 Indian Tamil-language thriller film directed by K. M. Balakrishnan.
The film stars Vijayakanth in the lead role, playing Peter, a professor dedicated to researching hypnotism. The ensemble cast includes M. N. Nambiar and newcomers Sripriya (Parthiban) and Rohini (Geetha).
Viswanath and Ramji, petty thieves recently released from prison, plan to steal the gold Nataraja statue along with jewels from a temple during a tense heist sequence.
The priest of the temple catches them and ties them to a tree, leading to their deaths. The children witness this horrific act, resulting in Geetha's eyesight being tragically injured while trying to save her father.
