Synopsis
Pangaaligal is a 1961 Indian Tamil-language film directed by G. Ramakrishna and starring Gemini Ganesan, M. R. Radha, Anjali Devi, and Devika.
The story revolves around three poor men who form a partnership to establish a metal vessel factory. Power dynamics emerge within their business venture, leading to various conflicts and challenges.
One storyline involves the son of one partner returning Westernized and mistreating his wife. Another storyline focuses on Gemini Ganesan's character, who is also the son of another partner, returning from Malaysia to find his sister married under unfavorable circumstances.
A third plot concerns a wage earner with two daughters, including Devika, who was lost during a festival and raised by a railway porter family. The narrative explores how this family exploits Devika's talents to become a dancer for financial gain.
