Pandavar Bhoomi is a 2001 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Cheran and starring Arun Vijay, Shamitha, and Rajkiran.
The film tells the story of Dhanasekar, who returns to his native village after twelve years of city life. He approaches architect Tamizh to design a new home for him, which becomes a catalyst for unexpected events and revelations about the village's past.
As construction progresses, Arun Vijay forms close bonds with Dhanasekar's family members, including his niece Shamitha, leading to romantic entanglements. However, Dhanasekar is unaware of the tragic history behind his family's departure from their ancestral home years ago.
The film features a cast that includes Vinu Chakravarthy and Mukesh Tiwari as antagonists, alongside supporting performances by Chandrasekhar, Ranjith, Manorama, and Charle. Released on September 21, 2001, Pandavar Bhoomi won the Filmfare Award for Best Director – Tamil (Cheran) and the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Second Best Film.
