Panam is a 1952 Indian Tamil-language film directed by N.S. Krishnan and written by M. Karunanidhi based on a story by N.V. Babu.

A greedy man chases away the poor bride chosen by his son since she did not get the dowry that he demanded. While the girl is trapped in a deserted bungalow, her husband is married off to a rich girl.
