Synopsis
Palaivana Paravaigal (Desert Birds) is a 1990 Tamil crime film directed by Senthilnathan.
The story revolves around Mamu and Machi, two orphaned criminals who receive the death penalty after committing offences. Their cellmate, Raja, an innocent youth in love with Kaveri, becomes their target for rescue.
The film stars Sarathkumar and Anandaraj, marking their debut in leading roles despite previously appearing mostly in negative character parts. Newcomers Udhayan and Dharini also feature prominently.
The music was composed by Ilayagangai, and the movie was released on 15 September 1990, achieving significant success with an impressive theatrical run exceeding 100 days.
