Paladai is a 1967 Indian Tamil-language film directed by A. Bhimsingh and produced by M. R. Santhanam.
The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Padmini, and K. R. Vijaya.
The story revolves around Sekar, a wealthy man from a royal family, who has been happily married to Janaki for ten years but remains childless. Following medical advice confirming Janaki's infertility, she decides to conceal this news from her husband as it would break him emotionally. Seeking happiness and companionship for her husband, Janaki persuades her sister Santha to marry Sekar.
When Sekar inadvertently learns of Janaki's condition, he consoles her. The next day, a dream about having a child profoundly affects Sekar; he shares this with Santha, deepening their connection and leading them towards marriage despite the initial reluctance expressed by Santha.
The film was released on 16 June 1967.
