Pagalil Oru Iravu is a 1979 Indian Tamil-language film directed by I. V. Sasi.
The movie stars Vijayakumar, Sridevi, Seema and Ravikumar in key roles.
It is a remake of the director's own 1976 Malayalam film Aalinganam.
The story revolves around Rajee, a doctor with unrequited love for her cousin Vinod, who marries Bindhu instead. After Bindhu experiences a miscarriage and falls into retrograde hysteria, Ramesh, Rajee's brother, returns from abroad and recalls the past.
Bindhu had previously fallen down stairs while picking mangoes as a child, leading to her diagnosis with retrograde hysteria.
The film was released on 15 August 1979.
