Oru Oodhappu Kan Simittugiradhu is a 1976 Indian Tamil-language film directed by S. P. Muthuraman.
The film stars Kamal Haasan and Sujatha, based on the novel of the same name written by Pushpa Thangadurai.
The story revolves around the relationship between Ravi and his charming neighbour Radha, who both fall in love with each other. Ravi's friend challenges him to make Radha fall for him in one week, but he fails and attempts to molest her instead. A fight ensues, resulting in Ravi killing his friend unintentionally.
Ravi is sentenced to life sentence, but gets a pardon after spending six years in prison due to Gandhi's birthday. The film follows Ravi as he travels back to his hometown and reunites with Radha, who spurns him once again.
