Niram Maaratha Pookkal is a 1979 Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by P. Bharathiraja.
The story revolves around Sudhakar, a poor man seeking work, who encounters Radhika, the daughter of businessman Selladurai, in a telephone booth. They develop feelings for each other after Radhika employs Sudhakar and he becomes her manager at her father's firm.
Radhika's father initially opposes their relationship due to class differences, but later reluctantly agrees to their marriage. However, things take a turn when Sivaraman, a business friend of Selladurai, arrives and reminds him about an old promise involving Radhika, leading to further complications for Sudhakar.
Sudhakar goes missing after taking five rupees with him, leaving the characters and audience uncertain about his whereabouts or intentions. The film features Rati Agnihotri in a supporting role.
