Nenjil Oru Aalayam is a 1962 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by C. V. Sridhar.
The film stars Kalyan Kumar as Venu, Devika as Seetha, and R. Muthuraman as Murali, with Nagesh, Manorama, and Kutty Padmini in supporting roles.
Viswanathan–Ramamoorthy provided the original soundtrack album and background score for the film, while Kannadasan wrote the lyrics for its songs.
The plot centers on Seetha, her husband Venu, and Murali who was previously her lover. When Venu's overseas tenure forces Seetha to marry another person against her parents' wishes, a few years later he is diagnosed with cancer. Seetha brings him to Chennai for treatment, where the specialist reveals himself to be Murali.
In his final moments, Venu tells Seetha that marrying Murali would make him happy and gives permission after his death. The film then depicts how Murali sacrifices his own feelings for their sake.
