Neengal Kettavai is a 1984 Tamil-language film directed by Balu Mahendra.
The movie stars Thiagarajan and Bhanu Chander in major roles alongside Archana and Silk Smitha, with Jaishankar appearing in an extended cameo.
The plot centers on a widow residing in Ooty who is raped and subsequently murdered by a tourist named Muthulingam, witnessed by her two sons. The older son, Ramu, is taken in by his maternal uncle for training, while the younger brother Arun pursues music under a blind teacher and becomes a renowned singer.
Years later, both brothers are involved as their paths converge to seek revenge against their mother's killer.
The film was released on 28 June 1984 and was commercially successful.
