Nadigan is a 1990 Indian Tamil-language comedy thriller film directed and written by P. Vasu.
The movie stars Sathyaraj and Khushbu in its lead roles, and serves as a remake of the Hindi film Professor, released in the same year (1990), which itself was from 1962.
Raja travels to Ooty seeking work after his mother needs a costly operation they cannot afford. On the train, he meets Devaraj, who has secured a job in Ooty with a ₹3,000 monthly wage and carries a recommendation letter.
Their suitcases get accidentally switched, leading Raja to mistakenly take Devaraj's suitcase containing the crucial letter. Raja takes the job intended for Devaraj without knowing its true nature or his contact details, setting the story in motion.
The film was released on 30 November 1990 and became a critical and commercial success, winning four Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.
