Naam Iruvar is a 1947 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed and produced by A. V. Meiyappan.
The film stars T. R. Mahalingam and T. A. Jayalakshmi, based on the play Thyaga Ullam written by Pa. Neelakantan.
It tells the story of Sukumar, a young man who falls into debt after investing in a film according to his friends' advice. He is eventually rescued from court and undergoes a transformation becoming a nationalist and a Gandhian.
The film was released on 12 January 1947 and became a success.
