Naam is a 1953 Indian Tamil-language film directed by A. Kasilingam and written by M. Karunanidhi.
The film stars M. G. Ramachandran and V. N. Janaki, and was jointly produced by Jupiter Pictures and Mekala Pictures.
The story revolves around Kumaran, the heir to a zamindari estate, who learns of his inheritance upon his mother's deathbed revelation. However, the will is hidden by Malayappan, prompting suspicion from Kumaran.
Kumaran falls in love with Meena, Malayappan's sister. When Meena acquires the will, Kumaran leaves the village to become a boxer in the city. Meanwhile, Malayappan sets fire to Kumaran's house, leading others to believe he is dead, but Kumaran survives thanks to Meena.
The film deals with complications surrounding the missing will and features a disfigured boxer storyline.
