Murai Maman is a 1995 Indian Tamil-language comedy film directed by Sundar C.
The film stars Jayaram and Khushbu, and follows the story of Sirusu, his brother Perusu, and their family, who own a village cinema theatre and orchards. Their family has a long-standing feud with the wealthy Parameswaran's family.
Sirusu falls in love with Indhu, Saratha's daughter, at first sight, while his brother Perusu proposes to Ratnam, Indhu's husband. However, Indhu refuses to marry and decides to leave the village. Sirusu intervenes and stops her departure, setting the stage for a romantic comedy.
The film was released on 19 May 1995 and marks Sundar C's directorial debut.
