Mullaivanam is a 1955 Indian Tamil-language film produced and directed by V. Krishnan.
The story revolves around Bhavani, who travels in an old Postal Delivery van and hears another passenger's tale. The narrative concerns a young woman forced into marriage with her aunt's brother due to family pressure, but she is actually in love with someone else. The wedding ceremony is disrupted when the mangala sutra goes missing.
The film stars Sriram and Kumari Rukmini, alongside P.S. Veerappa, P.S. Gnanam, A. Karunanidhi, and S.A. Natarajan.
Produced by V. Krishnan at Aravind Pictures (Coimbatore) and Central Studios, the movie features notable dancing choreographed by Vazhuvoor B. Ramaiyah Pillai with Rajeswari and Lalitha Rao involved in dance sequences.
