Mr. Romeo is a 1996 Indian Tamil-language action comedy film directed by K. S. Ravi and produced by R. B. Choudary.
The film stars Prabhu Deva in a dual role with Shilpa Shetty and Madhoo playing the female leading roles, while Surendra Pal, Vadivelu, and Vijayakumar play supporting roles.
Prabhu Deva plays two characters: Romeo, who lives a wealthy lifestyle in Bangalore with his widowed mother, and Badshah, a look-alike Chandaal (Hindu Undertaker) from Bombay who takes over Romeo's life, identity, love, and resides in his home.
The film follows the story of Romeo, who discovers that Sathyamoorthy is stealing body organs from patients in the hospital and staging their deaths via bus accidents. After being shot and framed for the crime, Romeo returns to Bangalore to expose Sathyamoorthy, only to find a look-alike named Badshah has taken over his life.
The film was released on 10 November 1996 and failed at the box office. It marked Shilpa Shetty's only Tamil film to date.
